blogGrowington is one of the 15 selected startups in the Urban Times that highlight the growing interface between strong entrepreneurship and social and environmental sustainability.
Growington has been selected to launch Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s new crowd-funding platform, PeopleFund.it!
This is too awesome and we wanted you guys to be the first to know. Peoplefund.it is launching nationally this week!
So what is crowd funding?
Here’s how PeopleFund.it explain it:
“On peoplefund.it you can find good ideas that might just change the world (for the better). Then you can help make them happen with your money (from just £1) in return for your choice of reward. It’s quick to back a project, and your money will only leave your account if the idea you support raises its target. If you really like an idea you can also support it with your time and skills – and by telling your friends! Projects on peoplefund.it might be the latest tech gadgets, ground-breaking energy initiatives, or nifty ideas to make good, affordable, local food fun - not worthy.”
So we’re looking for your help to continue the project and build something that is truly useful for food growers all over the world!

What a grand idea. If you haven’t yet ‘pledged your pot’, do so at One Pot Pledge - we did ours at the Edible Gardening Show where we met Pippa Greenwood!

We can’t say too much yet, but we’ll be looking for your help next week! :)
